Rocco Turns 2

Honestly, it feels like we've had Rocco longer than 2 years.

He's traveled with us from our first apartment, to our crappy apartment, and finally to our new home.

So I'm taking the opportunity to post my favorite photo of him.

Sitting up, falling asleep, just hours after he became less of a man.

Getting Creative

Yup, Ryan's taking on another project.

This time, it's a cooperative workspace built exclusively for creative freelancers called Kreativ.

Kreativ is being built because far too often, the loud coffee shops, stuffy executive suites and laziness of the home life restrict the freelancer. So Kreativ is bringing freelancers from all different industries together under one roof (check out the video below).

We wrote the script, shot it, recorded original music and then recorded the voice over in a little over a week, so we're very, very excited about it.

So for the next couple weeks, we're doing a fundraising project through Kickstarter -- you get to choose the amount you want to donate, and what prizes/rewards/coffee/art/books/Kreativ memberships you'd like.

There's a lot of very cool stuff over there, so I hope you take a look and want to support our Kreativ venture.

You don't need to live in Santa Clarita, you just need to want to support the arts.

Thanks everybody!

The Orange Kitty

It was a really rough night last night, as we had to put down Tigger -- Emma's cat of 16 years.

Tigger moved with Em from Canyon Country to Saugus, then to our apartment in Valencia, then another apartment in Valencia, and then our home in Valencia.

Needless to say, she's traveled and tolerated her share of dogs -- 5 of them?

Before Thanksgiving, the vet told us Tigger was in the advanced stages of renal failure and she wasn't expected to see the New Year.

Fast forward four months later and Tigger was a fighter.

Last night, Em and I were thinking back to our first apartment and how Bella and Tigger would play in the halls. You might remember this video...

We're really sad to see her go. She was a good friend to Em; faithful and loyal.

And she was the only cat that didn't make my eyes swell in fits of allergy rage. So.. there was that too.
