Day 4 - At Sea

To make sure we didn't sleep another 12 hours, we muted the channel on our stateroom television that showed the ship view from the Bridge. It acted like a window. So when the sun rose on the bridge cam, a bit of sun would also fill the room, and soon after, we'd also rise out of bed.

Like yesterday, gale-force winds rocked the ship. So that meant running upstairs in the Fitness Center was tough -- swaying from side to side mid-stride, nearly falling off the treadmill, etc. An experience that was unpleasant enough to be the last time I visited the Fitness Center for the next two weeks.

For lunch, we grabbed some pizza at the poolside pizzeria and laid out on the top deck to enjoy some sun and books.

An hour or so later, I headed aft to Centre Court for a basketball game. Unfortunately, in my walk there, the clouds opened and gave us some gale-force wind-supported rain. A 5-minute surprise to say the least.

After losing a game of HORSE to the only other guy in a rain-soaked shirt, I headed back to the pool and promptly fell asleep. Sleep -- which would prove to be a theme for the next 12 days or so.

That night, we returned to the Bordeaux Dining Room for dinner.
Emma
Appetizer: Chicken and eggplant empanada with plantain chips
Salad/Soup: Caesar salad
Main Course: Skirt steak fajitas
Dessert: Some sort of chocolate dessert we can't recall

Ryan
Appetizer: Shrimp cocktail
Salad/Soup: Caesar salad
Main Course: Seared salmon
Dessert: Strawberry and pineapple ice cream sundae
Following dinner, we tried to walk around the Promenade Deck, but it was far too windy. Not cold; just windy.

So instead, we played a few games of ping pong in the Lotus Spa pool area. Em has a problem with miniature sports (golf, ping pong, etc.). While miniature in size, she still powers through her stroke. So things tend to get a little carried away.
